Laser welding workplace

Our company has available a heavy-duty laser workplace which offers a wide scope of applications in different industrial branches. 

The workplace allows an efficient, flexible and high-speed welding. The welding proper is performed in a special, enclosed, extracted and remotely on-line controlled cubicle, providing maximum safety of the attending personnel during welding.

The workplace has available two solid-state fibre lasers supplied by IPG PHOTONICS.

Workplace parameters:

Solid-state fibre laser type YLR 4500         

  • power: 4500 W,
  • wavelength: 1.06 µm,
  • laser welding head type Precitec YW50,
  • diameter of optical fibre: 0.3 mm. 

 

Solid-state fibre laser type YLS 5000 - S1

  • power: 5000 W,
  • wavelength: 1.06 µm,
  • laser welding head type Precitec YW52,
  • diameter of optical fibre: 0.1 and 0.3 mm. 

 

Application options:

  • welding,
  • deposition of surface layers.

From among the most significant technological applications realised on this workplace we can mention the welding of absorption containers for the burnt-out nuclear fuel made of austenitic and ferritic steels alloyed with boron. For the time being this workplace is utilised for a series welding of clutch carriers and assemblies of clutch drive plates for the automotive industry and also elastic couplings for the wind power plants.
